Commercial and Industrial Services

The Co-op will provide single-phase or three-phase service to Commercial and Industrial consumers. Single-phase lines will be extended to three poles (approximately 1,000 feet) at no cost to the consumer. Three-phase lines will be extended to one pole (approximately 300 feet) at no cost to consumer. Where additional facilities are requested, arrangements can be made through the cooperative’s engineering department.

Deposits
Deposits for Commercial consumers are estimated from a previous two months of bills under normal operations. For new businesses, the engineering department will calculate expected loads based on the equipment to be used at the business and estimate two months of bills. Deposits for Industrial consumers are determined by contract.

Medium Commercial Rates and Service Charges

Availability
Available from all areas served from the Cooperative's distribution system that have existing three-phase circuits of adequate capacity. Service to other areas may require a customer contribution in aid of construction.

Applicability
Applicable to establishments having an expected peak demand of 50 kW or greater.

Character of Service
Single-phase service at 120/240 volts or three phase service at 120/240 volts delta or 120/208 or 277/480 volts wye.

Determination of Billing
The monthly billing capacity shall be the measured maximum integrated 15 minute capacity during each billing period of approximately 30 days, measured in kW; provided however, that such capacity shall be taken at not less than 75 percent of the measured maximum capacity requirements established during the 11 months preceding the billing period or 75 percent of the contracted capacity, whichever is greater.

Minimum Bill
Minimum monthly bill shall not be less than $100.

Adjustments
Service under this rate is subject to State and/or local sales tax as applicable. The current wholesale power cost adjustment shall be added to the cooperative retail rate.
State Gross Receipt Tax: 4.0%
State Utility License Tax: 2.2%
