CVEC Member to be Student Ambassador

TALLADEGA, Ala. - What do former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Walt Disney and Eastaboga resident Malissa Pettis have in common? They have all been involved in the People to People Student Ambassador program.

Eisenhower, our nation's 34th president, founded People to People in 1956 because he believed that young people and universal cooperation were the keys to global understanding. Disney created his It's a Small World attraction after he participated in a People to People White House conference. And Pettis will travel abroad this summer as an elite People to People student ambassador.

The information included with this press release will help explain the People to People program, Malissa and how students are chosen. You may contact the Pettis family at 256-831-7853 for more information. Malissa's father's name is Ray Pettis.

Additional information about the People to People program is available at http://studentambassadors.org/ or from the family.
