About Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative Power Cooperative Membership

Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc., (CVEC), is located just 45 minutes east of Birmingham, Alabama, and just over one hour west of Atlanta, Georgia, on Interstate 20. This is an excellent location for businesses or industries to locate.

CVEC is a non-profit, member-owned and democratically run rural electric system. Each year, member-owners have the right to vote for representatives to serve on the board of trustees. The trustees set policies to govern the operations of the cooperative. It is our intent to provide reliable, quality electrical service to the membership at the most cost effective price.

There are many services we provide beyond just electricity. We have a propane gas subsidiary - Coosa Valley Propane - with excellent service and competitive prices. Our trained professionals can install an economical security light to protect your home or you can sign up for our Surge Program to protect your valuable appliances and electronics. But if you find you are in need, we also sell appliances, electronics and water heaters.

CVEC is a proud member of the Touchstone Energy® group of cooperatives. Throughout the United States, there are more than 1,000 electric cooperatives, and nearly 600 of those operate under the Touchstone Energy umbrella. Click here to learn more about Touchstone Energy®.

As a first priority, Coosa Valley's employees are committed to service excellence to our member-owners. It is referred to in our motto as: "providing reliable consumer service." We think you will find our service some of the best you have ever experienced.

From our mountains to our lakes, the quality of living in our area is second to none. If you are interested in additional information about this area and CVEC, please contact us.
