Report an Outage!
We would love it if we could keep the power on all the time, but occasionally it will go out at your house or business. Once that occurs, our attentions and efforts turn completely to dedicating the resources necessary to restoring your service.
If you are experiencing a power outage, you should call the outage hotline: 1-800-273-7210. Please DO NOT call (256) 362-4180. The automated outage response system will prompt you for information. Please be patient and listen to the instructions as it guides you through the reporting process.
One important thing to keep in mind during the reporting process is that the phone number you input for your account information. The automated response system "talks" with our customer information system and "finds" your account information by referencing your phone number of record.
If you are calling from the phone that is in your account records as your phone number of record, please input that phone number correctly. If you are calling from a phone that is not listed in your account records as your phone number of record, please indicate that when prompted to do so.
If we do not have the correct phone number of record in the outage response system, our crews will not know that you do not have power.
Please remember the more information you can provide, the easier our jobs will be to restore your power. Our main goal is to provide you the most reliable service at the most reasonable rates possible. The outage response system we have in place is one of the most important tools we use to keep your power on.
