Commercial and Industrial Service

The Co-op will provide single-phase or three-phase service to Commercial and Industrial consumers. Call 1-800-273-7210 for more information.

    Rates and Service Charges

    Rates and service charges are based on the usage and demand of a facility. That usage and demand is then placed into rate categories. Government facilities, Churches and Schools usually fall under the following two rate categories:

    Small Commercial

    Code: 0010

    Availability

    Available from all areas served from the Cooperative’s distribution system that have existing three-phase circuits of adequate capacity. Service to other areas may require a customer contribution in aid of construction.

    Applicability

    Applicable to commercial establishments having an expected peak monthly demand of less than 50 kW.

    Character of Service

    Single-phase service at 120/240 volts, three-phase service at 120/240 volts delta. Three-phase service of 120/208 or 277/480 volts wye available under special arrangements.

    Monthly Rate

    Customer charge: $38.00; plus $0.10341 per kWh for the first 2,500 kWh. The rate will be $0.102410 per kWh for the next 5,000 kWh and $0.101410 for any additional kWh.

    Minimum Bill

    Minimum monthly bill shall be $38.00.

    Adjustments

    Service under this rate is subject to State and/or local sales tax as applicable. The current fuel adjustment shall be added to the Cooperative retail rate.

    State Utility License Tax:   2.2%

    Medium Power and Light

    Code: 0002

    Availability

    Available from all areas served from the Cooperative’s distribution system that have existing three-phase circuits of adequate capacity. Service to other areas may require a customer contribution in aid of construction.

    Applicability

    Applicable to establishments having an expected peak demand of 50 kW or greater.

    Character of Service

    Single-phase service at 120/240 volts or three phase service at 120/240 volts delta or 120/208 or 277/480 volts wye.

    Determination of Billing

    The monthly billing capacity shall be the measured maximum integrated 15 minute capacity during each billing period of approximately 30 days, measured in kW; provided however, that such capacity shall be taken at not less than 75 percent of the measured maximum capacity requirements established during the 11 months preceding the billing period or 75 percent of the contracted capacity, whichever is greater.

    Monthly Rates

    Customer Charge: $300.00; plus $9.50/kW for all kW over 50, plus energy charge of $0.081610 per kWh for all kWh.

    Minimum Bill

    Minimum monthly bill shall not be less than $150.00.

    Adjustments

    Service under this rate is subject to State and/or local sales tax as applicable. The current fuel adjustment charge shall be added to the cooperative retail rate.
