Comfort, Savings, & Support: Energy Efficiency Programs for Our Members

There’s something about October in Alabama that makes us all want to get cozy at home. The crisp morning, Friday night lights, and the first hint of leaves starting to turn. But if your HVAC system is struggling to keep up with the temperature swings this season, you might be cozying up to a higher power bill instead. The good news? Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is here to help you stay comfortable and save money at the same time.

At CVEC, we know that upgrading your HVAC system can make a world of difference, not just for comfort, but for your wallet. That’s why we’re proud to offer generous rebates and new financing options that make energy efficiency more affordable.

If you’ve been considering an upgrade, the rebates available to our members might give you the extra nudge you need. Members with manufactured homes who replace their traditional furnace heater with a more efficient heat pump can qualify for up to $2,000 in rebates. This is a huge opportunity to lower both your upfront costs and future energy bills. And it isn’t limited to existing manufactured homes! If you are buying a new manufactured home, you can request that your dealer replace the furnace with a heat pump before you receive your home, and you’ll still be eligible for the rebate.

Site-built homeowners can take advantage, too. Sitebuilt homeowners who install a dual-fuel or mini-split heat pump system that improves the home’s SEER rating are also eligible for valuable rebates. These systems are designed to work smarter, not harder. Keeping you comfortable while using less energy.

Both programs reward you for making smart choices that save money over time while also easing the strain on our electric system, which benefits our entire community of members.

We also recognize that the initial cost of upgrading an HVAC system can feel overwhelming. To help, CVEC has partnered with MAX Credit Union to launch a brand-new loan program tailored specifically for our members.

This program allows you to spread out the cost of your energy-efficient upgrade into manageable monthly payments. Combine that with our rebates, and suddenly the path to a more efficient, reliable HVAC system feels much more attainable.

An energy-efficient heating and cooling system isn’t just about comfort; it’s about peace of mind. Upgrades can mean lower monthly utility bills, improved air quality, and a longer life for your HVAC system. And with winter right around the corner, now is the time to ensure your home is ready to handle whatever Alabama weather throws your way.

If you’d like to learn more about rebates for manufactured or site-built homes, or if you’re interested in financing options through MAX Credit Union, we’re here to help.

Lucas Browning, our Energy Services Representative, is available to assist you every step of the way. He can guide you through the process of applying for the MAX Credit Union loan, answer questions about rebate eligibility, and provide personalized support to help identify and address the factors contributing to high energy bills. With extensive experience and resources at his disposal, Lucas is committed to helping members make informed decisions that improve both comfort and efficiency in their homes.

As we transition into the cooler months, now is the time to take advantage of these programs. By upgrading to a more efficient system, you can enhance the comfort of your home, reduce energy costs, and invest in long-term savings. At CVEC, we are here to ensure our members have the tools, resources, and support needed to make energy efficiency a reality.
