At Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative, the focus has always been on people. Now, the Cooperative is bringing those people to the forefront through a new social media program called “Inside the Energy,” an ongoing campaign that highlights employees, business customers and residential members across the service area.
The initiative features photos and short profiles that tell the stories of the individuals who power CVEC, including lineworkers, member service representatives, small-business owners and families at home.
“Inside the Energy is about shining a light on the people behind the power,” said Kylie Entrekin, marketing and digital media specialist. “Our employees work hard every day to serve our members, and our members are doing incredible things in their homes, schools and businesses. This gives us a chance to celebrate all of that.”
As a member-owned cooperative, Coosa Valley Electric is guided by a commitment to community. Programs like “Inside the Energy” reinforce that mission by strengthening connections and building trust.
“These stories remind us why we do what we do,” she said. “We’re not just providing electricity. We’re supporting families, local businesses and the communities we all call home.”
Residential and business members are encouraged to submit a questionnaire and photos for consideration for “Inside the Energy.” Participants will be asked about their connection to CVEC, how reliable electric service impacts them and what they value about being a part of a cooperative community. They will also be asked to provide photographs. Use this link to complete the questionnaire and submit photographs:
