Program Ensures That CVP Customers Stay Warm

There are 2 kinds of people during the winter.
The first kind is wrapped up in a blanket, sipping coffee, and enjoying a warm home while dinner cooks on the stove. The second kind is standing outside in pajama pants staring at the propane tank, thinking, “Well, that’s probably not good.”
Thankfully, Coosa Valley Propane’s Summer Fill Program is designed to help customers stay in the first group.
Available during July only, the Summer Fill Program allows customers to fill their propane tanks before colder weather and increased winter demand arrive. It is a simple way to prepare early, avoid the seasonal rush, and head into winter with 1 less thing to worry about.
While propane may not be at the top of most people’s summer to-do lists between vacations, baseball tournaments, and mowing grass for what feels like the hundredth time, July is 1 of the best times to think ahead.
“Every winter, we hear from customers who say, ‘I meant to call sooner,’” said Teresa Johnson, CVP customer service representative. “Summer Fill helps take that stress away before temperatures drop and schedules get hectic.”
The program is especially helpful for customers who rely on propane for home heating, water heating, cooking, clothes drying, or farm use.
“By filling during the off-season, customers can avoid waiting until the first major cold snap, when everyone suddenly remembers they need propane at the same time,” Johnson said. “Let’s be honest – nobody wants to realize the tank is low halfway through cooking chili on the coldest night of the year.”
Summer Fill also works alongside Coosa Valley Propane’s Keep Fill Program, where CVP service technicians monitor tank levels and schedule deliveries before tanks become critically low.
Customers interested in participating are encouraged to contact Coosa Valley Propane at (256) 362-4780 this month to schedule their fill.
When January arrives, your future self will be thankful you handled it in July.
